Our Mission & Vision
The Story of Royal Glow by P&A Royal Glow by P&A is more than just a candle business—it’s a testament to resilience, love, and the power of motherhood. Founded by Tammy Hayes and Ossie Cloud, two sister-in-laws with an unbreakable bond, this business was born from both struggle and strength. It is a reflection of who we are—women determined to provide for our families without sacrificing the moments that matter most. A Mother's Sacrifice & a New Beginning Ossie was working full-time as a Home Health Aide while raising her daughter as a single mother. Life was already a balancing act, but then tragedy struck her family. Two young children, both under the age of two, were suddenly left without parents who could care for them. Without hesitation, Ossie stepped up—selflessly opening her heart and home to these children, giving them the love, security, and family they desperately needed. But taking in two babies overnight meant difficult choices. She had to take a leave of absence from work, putting her financial stability at risk. The weight of responsibility grew heavier—three children under the age of five, all depending on her. She needed a way to support her growing family without missing the precious early years of their lives. At the same time, Tammy was facing her own crossroads. After 20+ years working in human services, helping young people and adults build careers, she was suddenly let go from her management position—completely unexpected and without a financial safety net. Tammy had spent the last six years guiding others on their journeys to success, helping people start businesses, follow their passions, and create financial freedom. Now, she had to do the same for herself. With four children of her own to care for, Tammy knew she couldn’t go back to a career that demanded long hours and left her missing out on her kids’ lives. She needed a different path—one that provided both stability and presence. Turning Struggles into Strength From these struggles, a powerful idea was born. Instead of letting circumstances define them, Tammy and Ossie decided to take control of their futures. They wanted to create something that would not only provide for their families but also allow them to be present—for the first steps, the bedtime stories, the school pickups, and all the moments that truly matter. And so, Royal Glow by P&A was born. The name itself is a tribute to their daughters—Princess (P), Ossie’s oldest daughter, and A’Layla (A), Tammy’s youngest daughter. Though cousins, Princess and A’Layla are more like sisters, inseparable best friends who are only a year apart. Just as these two little girls share a special bond, their mothers have come together to build something meaningful—a business that reflects family, love, and the warmth of home. More than just a candle company, Royal Glow is a symbol of transformation. Each candle represents resilience, warmth, and the light that shines even in the darkest times. Every handcrafted candle tells a story of two mothers who refused to give up, who turned hardship into opportunity, and who are now building a legacy for their children. Lighting the Way for Others But our mission doesn’t stop with us. We know we’re not the only mothers facing these challenges. There are countless women out there—mothers, caregivers, single parents—who dream of financial stability without having to sacrifice time with their children. That’s why, as Royal Glow by P&A grows, our goal is to empower other mothers to start their own businesses, providing guidance, mentorship, and inspiration to those who want to take control of their financial futures. We believe in a world where mothers don’t have to choose between providing for their families and being present for their children. We believe in the power of women supporting women, mothers uplifting mothers, and turning struggles into success stories. Royal Glow by P&A is more than a business—it’s a movement. It’s about strength, sacrifice, and the unwavering love of motherhood. It’s about showing our children that even in the face of adversity, we can create something beautiful, something lasting, something that lights up the world. This is our story. And we’re just getting started.
